Fire Restriction in place for MD of Peace

Effective Wednesday, December 13 a fire restriction has been put in place for the Municipal District of Peace.

The MD says that because of the extremely dry conditions, all fire permits are suspended and any fire currently burning must be extinguished immediately.

Wood campfires in fire rings, portable propane fire pits, gas and propane stoves and non-charcoal barbecues are still permitted.

The MD adds that in the unlikely event that a campfire goes wild, residents may receive an invoice for the MD of Peace Fire Department’s services.
