Lion’s Club fundraiser at the Farmers Market

The Grande Prairie branch of the Lions Club will be at the Farmers Market Friday, December 15, and Saturday, December 16 for a fundraiser.

The group is selling calendars to raise money for the Lions Club Foundation of Canada Dog Guides.

The cost is $20 each and the money raised goes towards training guide dogs.

The dogs are provided at no cost to qualified people who also finish a training course.

The dogs are trained in many areas, including hearing assistance, canine vision, seizure response, and diabetes alert.

The Farmers Market is open Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
