Preplanned event, not an emergency, leads to police surrounding house in Sexsmith say RCMP

An RCMP media person says something pre-planned like a search warrant, not an emergency, led to police surrounding a house in Sexsmith Wednesday afternoon.

The RCMP spokesman adds there is no risk to the public.

Witnesses that contacted EverythingGP say it started around 4 p.m. Wednesday and that police dogs were on the scene and a drone had been deployed.
