High Level RCMP ask for public help identifying three armed robbery suspects

Jan 12, 2024 | 12:00 PM

High Level RCMP are asking for the public’s help with identifying three armed robbery suspects.

On December 30, at 6:45 pm Mounties say they received a report that four masked people entered the Caeser’s liquor store on 100 Avenue in High Level; with one suspect pointing a firearm at the employee demanding cash in the till, while the other three stole liquor and fled the store.

RCMP responded and contained the scene, obtaining a description of the suspects from a witness, and footage of the crime.

This led Mounties to conduct a search warrant on a residence in the town.

As a result of the investigation, 19-year-old Elvis Metsikassus was charged with armed robbery and was remanded into custody, with a court date set for Monday, January 15.

Mounties say no members of the public, or suspects, were injured during the robbery or arrest, and they would like to thank the public for their assistance with this investigation.

At this time, the investigation is still ongoing, and anyone with information about the other three suspects is asked to contact the High Level detachment or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS), or online at www.P3Tips.com.
