City of Dawson Creek activates emergency warming centre

The City of Dawson Creek has opened an Emergency Warming Centre to give people shelter in response to the extreme cold in the area.

The shelter will provide resources, including space and staff to aid people in need.

It’s located at the Nawican Shelter on 1401 102 Avenue and is open 24/7 from January 12-21.

Anyone wanting to provide support or donate is asked to contact the centre directly.
