Dumpster fire spreads to building in downtown GP

The Grande Prairie Fire Department says a dumpster fire spread to the exterior of a building in downtown Grande Prairie.

Crews responded quickly to reports of the dumpster fire on Thursday evening, which spread to the Market Manor building that houses residential suites and a business.

The GPFD says the building was temporarily evacuated for a few hours to allow firefighters to extinguish the flames.

No injuries or loss of housing occurred from the incident.
