Splash down the hill at Nitehawk Sunday

Mar 25, 2018 | 10:23 AM

The 16th annual Slush Cup is Sunday out at Nitehawk Year Round Adventure Park.

General Manager Jonathan Clarkson says the recent snowfall will make the getting across the pond exciting.

“And we have plans for a 70-foot long pond of water, great spectator event so if you are looking to bring your family out and watch some people get a little wet, that will be happening from 2 to 5 p.m.”

He said last year over 40 people entered.

“Our coldest Slush Cup on record, while I’ve been there in the last 12 years was -25, we actually had a guy in the pond with a dry suit breaking up the ice, but we still had 30 participants that year, every year it varies but last year we had about 45.”

Starting off the day will be the second annual Slush Rush Fun Run.
