Storm celebrates a pair of players

The Grande Prairie Storm is celebrating the accomplishments of a pair of players.

2003-born, Matthew Strilets was named AJHL Defensive Player of the Week, after putting up five points over the last three games, including one goal.

Strilets is now on a four-game point streak with 35 points on the season, which has him tied for third in points for AJHL defensemen.

The Storm is also celebrating ’03 rookie Zachary Wilson, who was nominated as one of the eleven RBC AJHL Community Ambassadors, for his commitment to the community.

At the end of the season, two of the eleven community ambassadors will be awarded a $1,000 scholarship.

The Storm will be back in action on Friday, February 16, when they visit Drayton Valley to play the Dragons.
