Record snowfall on Sunday

Winter has made it’s return to the Peace Country.

Environment Canada says Grande Prairie received 7.6 cm of snow on Sunday.

The greatest amount of snow that fell down in the Swan City on February 25 previously, was in 1952 with 7.4 cm.

The record snowfall on Sunday was paired with wind gusts of up to 65 km/h and a slightly colder than average temperature, hitting -16.1 C at 11:00 p.m.
