Snow clearing continues following overnight snowfall

Feb 29, 2024 | 12:20 PM

Grande Prairie got more snow overnight Wednesday, and with that snow clearing operations continue in both the city and county.

Environment Canada says Grande Prairie received another 1.6 cm of snow, with more to come heading into the weekend.

Snow clearing has been activated in the city on the Week A rotation.

Today snow will be cleared in the neighbourhoods of Kensington, Mission Heights, O’Brien Lake, and Stone Ridge.

You can find when your neighbourhood will be cleared by clicking here.

The county is also clearing snow still.

The areas getting snow removal today are in La Glace and Clairmont between 100 Avenue to 116 Avenue.

Parking bans are active in these areas while snow is being cleared, and reminds residents that moving snow into the road is illegal and could result in a $100 fine.
