Beaverlodge Municipal Hospital emergency department without a physician for 24 hours starting Monday

Starting Monday, the Beaverlodge Municipal Hospital emergency department will be experiencing a temporary disruption, for 24 hours due to an inability to secure physician coverage.

Alberta Health Services says this will last from 8:00 a.m. Monday, March 4 until 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 5.

AHS asks anyone experiencing a medical emergency, to still contact 911, as EMS will be available and rerouting calls to neighbouring facilities.

Nursing staff will also remain on-site to perform triage, assessments, and referrals to neighbouring facilities.
