A depiction of a fox by Sexsmith artist Chris Jammer is the winner of this years Beauty of the Peace art competition.

Jammer’s work called The Watcher was the top vote-getter after more than 500 ballots were cast in the annual art contest hosted by Grant Berg Gallery.

Helen Teichroeb’s painting called The Long View finished second. Donna Hunt’s work Rendezvous wound up in third place.

Prints will now be made of the winning painting and donated to charity auctions.

The gallery says on its website that this year’s edition was it’s most successful yet as 13 of the 21 paintings entered in this year’s competition have been sold.
