Alberta Health Services says a bunch of new doctors have come to the Peace in the last several months.

Dr. Aman Tataba is now practicing as a family physician at the Valleyview Health Centre and Valleyview Medical Clinic.

He moved to the community in January.

Dr. Tataba went to medical school at the University of Tripoli in Libya.

AHS says 10 other physicians relocated to the North Zone between the beginning of October and the end of December last year.

Eight of those have come to the Peace; one being a new family doctor in Beaverlodge and the other seven coming to Grande Prairie.

That includes two pediatric physicians that work in the neonatal intensive care unit, a family doctor, a urologist, an anesthesiologist, a family doctor, an emergency room physician and an ophthalmologist.

The other two went to Bonnyville and lac La Biche.
