GPLT’s production 12 Angry Jurors runs Apr. 4-20
Grande Prairie Live Theatre’s production of 12 Angry Jurors opens Thursday, April 4.
Director Caitlin Card says the play is an adaptation of Reginald Rose’s 1957 teleplay 12 Angry Men and centers around a jury deliberation deliberating over the case of a 19-year-old boy accused of murdering his father.
“If he’s found guilty, he’ll face the death penalty,” Card says. “Basically, the play is set in one room, the jurors are in the room the whole time and they can’t leave until they’ve made a decision about whether he’s guilty or not. The stakes are high and so’s the drama.”
Card says the production features a unique seating arrangement that has left preview audiences eager to see the show twice.
