MD of Greenview organizing Poverty Simulation May 13

The Municipal District of Greenview is organizing a poverty simulation next month to give you a better understanding of the effects of poverty on your community,

The simulation is a role-playing experience where participants are given a family role to portray one of 26 fictional low-income family scenarios with the goal of providing food, shelter, and basic needs with a limited income.

The participants will experience a range of encounters and challenges while trained volunteers populate the simulation as business owners, teacher, police and more.

The simulation is happening May 13 at Valleyview Memorial Hall, it’s free to attend but pre-registration is required.
