Camp Tamarack RV Park renamed to Grande Prairie KOA Journey

The Camp Tamarack RV Park is changing its name.

The 25-year-old campground has joined Kampgrounds of America as the Grande Prairie KOA Journey.

KOA Journey campgrounds are located near highways and byways with long, pull-through RV sites for fast and easy setup with well-lit after-hours check-in services and a robust line of RV supplies.

The RV Park boasts a nearby dune area for ATV rides, horseshoe pits and basketball courts and will soon include an upgraded playground and a Kamp K9 for pet owners.

The campground’s owners, Edward and Tammy Van Den Hoek will be celebrating the name change and the camp’s 25-year history with a ribbon-cutting ceremony April 24.
