Local lumber and building business pleads guilty to OHS Act charge
On Monday, April 15, a local lumber and building supplies company pleaded guilty to one charge under the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
Boucher Bros. Lumber Ltd pleaded guilty to failing to ensure the health and safety of a worker under the OHS Act.
The Crown withdrew eleven other charges under the OHS legislation.
These charges stem from an incident that took place in September of 2022, at a Nampa lumber and building supplies business. A worker’s hand made contact with the blades of a wood planer, resulting in injury.
