Heavy police presence in Fairview

UPDATE at 6:45 a.m. April 29 – RCMP advised that the police operation on 106 Avenue and 108 Street in Fairview is over and officers have cleared from the residence.

Fairview RCMP say there is a heavy police presence in the area of 108 Street and 106 Avenue.

Mounties say in a news release sent out just after 8:30 Sunday evening that there is a police operation underway in that area. The operation is contained to one home.

RCMP are asking the public to avoid the area and to not post anything about police actions on social media.
