Fairview Health Complex ED without an on-site physician for a combined 72 hours

The Fairview Health Complex ED will be without an onsite physician twice next week.

The first will take place from 7 a.m. on Monday, May 13, till 7 a.m. on Wednesday, May 15, with the second set to start at 7 a.m. on Friday, May 17 and last until Saturday, May 18.

The public is still encouraged to call 911 in case of an emergency, as EMS will be re-routing calls to neighbouring facilities.

Nursing staff will also remain on-site to perform urgent triage, assessments, and refer patients to neighbouring healthcare facilities.

If coverage is found, these disruptions may be cancelled.
