City of Dawson Creek implements Stage 1 Water Conservation Measures

The City of Dawson Creek has changedits water conservation measures to Stage 1.

A Stage 2 restriction was put into place in early February, preventing residents from hauling bulk water for non-potable use.

At its May 27 meeting, City Council were informed reservoir levels were back to over 90% capacity and the river was holding it’s level, leading council to direct staff to implement Stage 1 until further notice.

While the measures are in effect, residents can not water their lawns unless at specified days and time and must not use a hose to wash boats or motor vehicles.
