$151,300 raised for Sunrise House at Grande Prairie Stompede VIP Night

The crowd was wowed out at Evergreen Park Thursday night for the Grande Prairie Stompede’s Bootlegger Stompin’ Charity Event.

The second annual event featured a live auction and late night poutine bar for attendees.

Live entertainment was provided by rising country music star from St. Albert, Hailey Benedict.

She played her own original songs, along with covers of various artists including Lainey Wilson, Taylor Swift, and Roseanne Cash, to Keith Urban and Dwight Yoakam, to even Ozzy Osbourne, Walk The Moon, Neil Diamond, and more.

Funds raised throughout the event are being given to Grande Prairie’s Sunrise House Youth Emergency Shelter. Sunrise House provides emergency shelter to those aged 12-17 who have become or are at risk of becoming homeless.

A 50/50 was also held in support of PARDS Therapeutic Riding Centre.
