B.C. Peace cowboy among the leaders at Stompede

A B.C. Peace cowboy is among the leaders after two days at the Grande Prairie Stompede rodeo.

Pouce Coupe’s Clayton Moore in first in steer wrestling with a time of 3.9 seconds recorded during the first main performance on Thursday.

The other leaders, except two, are all from Alberta. They are as follows below:

  • Richmond Champion of Stevensville, Montana in bareback.
  • Riley Wilson of Cardston and Clay Ullery from Ponoka in team roping.
  • Lucas Macza of High River in saddle broncs.
  • Curtis Cassidy of Donalda in tie down roping.
  • Taylor Manning of Yellowhead City in barrel racing.
  • Aubrey Ross of Botha in breakaway roping.
  • Jace Lonheim of Hughenden in novice bareback.
  • Jax Meston of Tees in saddle broncs.
  • Mason Grafix of Ponoka in steer riding.
  • Dakota Buttar of Eatonia, Saskatchewan in bull riding.

The Grande Prairie Stompede rodeo starts every day through Sunday at 1 p.m. at Evergreen Park.
