AHS acknowledges May 31 as World No Tobacco Day

May 31, 2024 | 1:49 PM

Alberta Health Services is offering resources to educate people about the harms of tobacco.

AHS is participating in World No Tobacco Day to raise awareness about the addictive properties and dangers that nicotine can cause in young people, including chronic lung disease and long-term memory issues.

Parents, guardians and educators are invited to check out the resources AHS has gathered, such as the Be Tobacco Smart booklet for students grades K-3, Behind the Haze, and the addiction helpline.

The full list of resources can be found here.
