Warmer than usual temperatures on the way for spring
Spring is right around the corner and a Weather Network Meteorologist says we can expect it to be hotter than usual.
Tyler Hamilton explains while so far, March of 2019 has been colder than March of 2018, we can still expect a warm spring.
“Predictions are holding with our official spring outlook,” says Hamilton. “We thought that spring would really be delayed this year, especially when you look at our meteorological spring beginning March 1. We’ve had coast-to-coast periods of January-like temperatures; but after this weekend, like the flick of a switch, we’re seeing the signatures of spring really spreading from west to east and that includes Grande Prairie and most of Alberta.”
Now that the worst of winter is behind us, Hamilton notes the chances of any snow returning is unlikely, and that we can expect double-digit temperatures above zero after the weekend.
