Parkside Montessori teacher receives Prime Minister’s Certificate of Teaching Excellence

Grande Prairie Public School Division has announced a Parkside Montessori teacher is the recipient of a federal award.

Laurel Noel has been awarded the Prime Minister’s Certificate of Teaching Excellence in recognition of her ability to inspire and empower young learners through creative and empathetic teaching methods.

Noel is known for her grand-buddies and kindness ninja programs that foster a sense of community and empathy among her students.

GPPSD Superintendent Sandy McDonald says Noel’s work engages and inspires her students and enriches the entire school community.

This year also marks the 30th anniversary of the Prime Minister’s Awards.

The 10 recipients, including Noel were selected from 115 nominations across the country
