MD of Greenview developing Nose Creek Fire guard

The Municipal District of Greenview is in the early stages of developing a fire guard for the Nose Creek area.

At its Tuesday meeting MD Council approved an application to the Forest Resource Improvement Association of Alberta Fire Smart program to initiate Phase 1 planning for the potential construction of a guard to protect the settlement.

The project is estimated to cost $40,000. A Council Resolution was required to allow FRIAA to move forward with approving the grant application.
