UFA marking Farmer’s Day June 14
Jun 14, 2024 | 6:00 AM
June 14 will mark Farmer’s Day in Alberta.
UFA hosts barbecues and other activities to thank and salute famers and ranchers for everything they do.
The company says it has celebrated Farmer’s Day every year since 1945, but the day’s origins go back to the first U.F.A. Sunday held in 1914.
For many years, Farmer’s Day was a holiday for school kids and some people who worked in agriculture.
