Wildfire hazard low in Grande Prairie Forest Area

The rain means the wildfire hazard is now low in the Grande Prairie Forest Area.

Fire watchers say this area has had 33 fires since the start of the year that have burned close to 175 hectares.

The Kleskun Creek Fire is still listed as under control at 1298 hectares.

There is also a carryover fire that burned on both sides of the Peace River last year that is also considered under control.
