Fire advisory in place for PRFA

A fire advisory is now in place for the Peace River Forest Area.

Existing permits are still valid. New ones will be issued on a case-by-case basis. No permits will be given for fireworks.

Things like safe wood camp fires and backyard fire pits are still allowed.

The wildfire hazard in the Peace River Forest Area is rated very high.

A 175 hectare fire located 35 kilometres north of Manning is still classified as being held.

There are four other active fires that are all considered under control.
