Leadership change for Canfor

Canfor has announced a leadership change.

The company says president and CEO Dan Kayne will be retiring at the end of the year.

Kayne has held those jobs with Canfor since 2011 and has been with the company for 46 years.

Current vice president Susan Yurkovich will take over as president and CEO as of January 1, 2025.

A release from Canfor says Yurkovich has worked for the company for a dozen years and has 30 years total experience in the natural resources sector.

Kayne will serve as an advisor through next year.

Canfor owns a sawmill in Grande Prairie.
