The City of Grande Prairie has released the results of their 2024 Resident Satisfaction Survey.

Completed in May, the survey collected resident’s assessments of how satisfied they are with municipal services to be presented to the Strategy and Communications Services Committee.

Highlights from the survey results include:

  • 91 per cent of respondents indicate that the quality of life in the city is good
  • 78 per cent are satisfied with City services
  • 92 per cent believe that City-hosted events play a crucial role in fostering a local sense of community
  • Nearly 38 per cent of respondents expect the economy in the City to improve within the next 12 months
  • Almost half of respondents believe the City should not increase taxes
  • The top issues for respondents are homelessness, property taxes and crime.

Gathering residents’ feedback on satisfaction is valuable for guiding Council decisions, as it ensures municipal services meet community needs and expectations. The 2024 Resident Satisfaction Survey highlights the importance of resident input, revealing areas of high satisfaction and identifying opportunities for improvement.
