Alberta Transportation issues travel advisory
As we remain under a snowfall warning, Alberta Transportation has released a travel advisory for parts of northwestern and central Alberta.
According to Environment Canada, the Grande Prairie region could get up to 15 cm of heavy, wet snow by tomorrow afternoon or evening, along with strong winds.
“We are just asking people to be aware of that, and if they don’t have to be driving maybe put off their travel plans for a day or two until things warm up and the roads are clear,” said Wayne Wood, Communications with AB Transportation.
He says Alberta Transportation will have all their plows and snow clearing equipment out on the highways.
