Alberta Transportation announces 75% axle weight restriction on Highway 666

Alberta Transportation has announced an axle weight restriction going into effect on Highway 666 south of Grande Prairie on Thursday, August 1.

The 75 per cent weight restriction will stretch from the junction of Highway 40 to Range Road 63.

The restriction goes into effect at 1:00 p.m., no end date has been announced at this time.

Speed has been slowed in that area since 2019 due to an ongoing slide hazard.
