Saddle Hills County rescinds evacuation order

Saddle Hills County downgraded their evacuation order due to a wildfire, to an evacuation alert Sunday.

Residents located south of Range Road 790 between Range Road 102 and Range Road 111 have returned to their homes but should be prepared to evacuate again if needed.

Wildfire GWF077 is still burning in the Gordondale area south of Highway 49, and is still considered out of control at 150 ha.

Meanwhile, the evacuation alert issued for the Gundy Area due to wildfire GWF078 has been rescinded as that fire is now considered under control.
