Dawson Creek Exhibition and Stampede underway

Dawson Creek is busy this week.

The Dawson Creek Exhibition and Stampede got underway today (Wednesday, August 7) and will continue through Sunday.

There is a long list of agriculture events happening all week, including light and draft horse shows, 4-H events, and agriculture and horticulture exhibits.

The chuckwagon races start Wednesday night.

The All-Pro chuckwagons start at 5:30 every night with the WPCA wagons following at 6:30.

Chanse Vigen leads the WPCA standings after clinching the title at the Strathmore Stampede on Saturday.

The ranch rodeo finals go Thursday at 12:30 p.m.

The parade is scheduled for Friday at 10 a.m. through downtown Dawson Creek.

The pro rodeo slack is set for 12:30 p.m. on Friday with main performances at the same time Saturday and Sunday.

There are fireworks panned for Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 10:30 p.m.

All these times are B.C. times.
