Grande Prairie RCMP search for assault suspect

Grande Prairie RCMP are asking for the public’s help with identifying a suspect.

On Saturday, August 10, at 8:20 p.m. RCMP responded to a report of an unknown male attempting to assault someone with an axe in the South Avondale area.

Once on the scene, Mounties found the individual also caused damage to the victim’s property, but no one was injured during the attack.

The attacker is described as:

  • 5’10
  • Black pants
  • Grey sweater
  • Black hat
  • Black and white shoes

Anyone with information on this suspect is asked by Mounties to contact the Grande Prairie RCMP detachment at(780) 830-5700 or Crime Stoppers.
