Experience Grande Prairie returns for a third time

The City of Grande Prairie’s third annual Experience Grande Prairie Block Party will take over 101 Avenue on Friday, August 30.

This year’s event will be highlighted by Canadian rock star Kim Mitchell.

Mayor Jackie Clayton said in the release, “We’re excited to see this event continue to grow and bring in exceptional talent year after year.”

Just like past block parties, beer gardens, community booths and activities from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., will be offered at the event, with no cost to enter.

During the event, there will also be some road closure in effect in City Centre, as Experience Grande Prairie is hosted on 101 Avenue.
