Falher Mayor awarded Alberta Municipalities Award of Excellence

The Town of Falher is celebrating its mayor, who received an esteemed award from Alberta Municipalities.
Mayor Donna Buchinski will be one of 2024’s recipients of the Alberta Municipalities Award of Excellence as a testament to her 25 years of dedicated service.
The award is given to elected officials who have held office for at least four years and demonstrated exceptional leadership in municipal governance.
The Town says Buchinski’s achievements include the creation of the Smoky River Regional Water and Waste Commission in 2003, and the regionalization of the Smoky River Fire Department in 2015.
