Saddle Hills County announces Provincial funding for major water projects
Saddle Hills County has announced that two major local water projects have received grant funding from the province.
The Central Peace Regional Water project has been awarded an additional $22,700,000 through the Water for Life Grant program to support Phases 1 and 2 of the G5 Municipalities project.
The phases consist of pumping water from the Peace River to raw water reservoirs in the Town of Spirit River and the Village of Rycroft.
Additionally, Saddle Hills County was awarded $280,000 through the Province’s Drought and Flood Protection Program for the Ksituan Additional Raw Water Storage project.
