Fairview Health Complex ED undergoes third temporary disruption this week

The Fairview Health Complex Emergency Department will be without an onsite phsycian for three days this week.

Starting Wednesday, at 7 a.m., the ED will be experiencing a temporary disruption until Saturday at 7 a.m.

Nursing staff will be reaming at the hospital during the disruption to provide urgent triage and assessments, while EMS will be rerouting all emergency calls to neighbouring hospitals.

AHS says the disruption could be cancelled if coverage is found.

This ED closure marks the third separate time it has been closed this week
