City temporarily closing 102 Street for stormwater infrastructure work September 27

The City of Grande Prairie is temporarily closing a section of 102 Street as part of its stormwater infrastructure upgrade.

Starting Friday September 27, 102 Street will be closed between 120 Avenue and 121 Avenue to expedite the work. The closure is expected to last two to three days.

While the road is closed, southbound traffic will be redirected at 121 Avenue, northbound traffic will detour via 117 or 116 Avenue, and local traffic will be maintained heading north on 102 Street between 117 and 120 Avenue.

The City’s Richard Sali says they are working efficiently to complete the project and will keep residents updated as they move forward.
