CIBC Run For A Cure “Peace Goes Pink” returns to Grande Prairie

Oct 3, 2024 | 2:12 PM

The second annual CIBC Run For A Cure “Peace Goes Pink” event will take over Muskoseepi Park on Sunday, October 6.

Registration is set to get going at 8:30 a.m. while an opening ceremony will take place at 9:15, with the run starting at 10:00.

Two separate routes, a one-kilometre and a five-kilometre route, will be available for residents to choose from.

Following the run, a Guitar’s and Brunch event will take place at the Pomeroy Hotel starting at 11:00 a.m. where “guests will enjoy a delicious meal while being serenaded by the talented Brent Boivin Band,” according to the Pomeroy.

Brunch rates will be the same as regular weekends; $38 for adults, $31 for seniors, $19 for kids, and ages 5 and under eat free, and drop-ins are welcome, but the Pomeroy “recommends” booking a reservation.

Last year, CIBC’s first annual Run For A Cure “The Peace Goes Pink” event raised $82,934 and this year they have set a goal of beating that, with a target of $85,000.
