City Hall says it is introducing zipper merging on 100 Avenue during bridge work as a way to improve traffic flow.
This will take effect on Tuesday, October 15.
The city says this will impact drivers on the westbound side. Traffic will be down to one lane.
A release from the city says that zipper merging involves using both lanes until getting to the merge point, vehicles take turns merging one at a time from alternating lanes, keeping a steady speed and being courteous to other drivers.
