County of Grande Prairie dangerous animal alert in effect

A dangerous animal alert has been issued by the County of Grande Prairie.

The county, says ti has received multiple reports of a bear in the Sprucewood Park subdivision, south of the city along Highway 40.

At this time, the county is asking any residents who may be in the area to take the following precautions; not approaching the bear, keeping pets and children close, staying alert, and watching for signs of bear activity.
