Grande Prairie RCMP investigating found human remains

On Monday, October 21, Grande Prairie RCMP responded to a report of human remains found northwest of the city.

Mounties arrived at 1:40 p.m. and discovered a deceased unidentified female.

The Grande Prairie RCMP General Investigation Section is now working with the RCMP Major Crimes Unit to investigate.

An autopsy is to be done tomorrow (Wednesday, October 23) in Edmonton at the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.

At this time, Mounties are asking anyone with dash cam footage from Monday, October 21, of 116 Street between 104 and 132 Ave, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., to contact the detachment.
