Animal Health Canada is getting $13,343,409 over five years from the federal government for three projects.

A release from the federal government says $3,543,174 is for expansion of animal health surveillance and use what is called a ‘One Health’ approach to the Canadian Animal Health Surveillance System.

One Health involves an integrated approach to the health of animals, ecosystems, and humans.

There is also $5 million allocated to improve emergency management services. This includes training producers and staff and developing emergency plans.
