Two-day disruption for Fairview Health Complex emergency department this week

Alberta Health Services says a disruption is scheduled to start on Halloween in the emergency department at the Fairview Health Complex because there is no physician available.

It will last from 7 a.m. Thursday, October 31 until 7 a.m. Saturday, November 1.

AHS says nurses will be on-site to provide assessments and triage.

People with medical emergencies can still call 911 as EMS remains available.

AHS adds anyone with non-emergencies can call Health Link at 811. It is open 24/7.
