The City and County of Grande Prairie have held a ribbon-cutting ceremony to mark the completion of the new Connector Trail.
The two-kilometre trail was designed to enhance recreation and connectivity between the municipalities through a $750,000 grant from the Canada Community Revitalization Fund alongside funding from the city and county.
The trail runs parallel to Range Road 61 and includes a new pedestrian crossing at Highway 668.
Representatives from both municipalities attended the ribbon cutting ceremony Wednesday, October 30, slightly over a year after the start of construction.
