Sexsmith man almost mistakes lottery winning phone call for scam

A Sexsmith local has just won $100,000 through the lottery.

Dennis Milligan won the prize through his October 2 LOTTO 6/49 and EXTRA subscription, which includes a courtesy call to winners. The subscription allows lottery players to purchase selections for up to a year in advance.

Milligan says when he was first told he won he thought it was a scam until the caller began to read off his subscription numbers.

He says he plans to use his winnings to renovate his bathroom and donate some of whats left over.
