County of Grande Prairie launches Phase 1 of Land Use Bylaw Update

The County of Grande Prairie is beginning Phase 1 of its Land Use Bylaw Update.

The first phase focuses on administrative and procedural items in the bylaw to ensure timelines align with provincial requirements.

The proposed amendments include updating bylaw maps to have a physical set that reflects all the rezoning, specify fines within the penalties section, and remove forms and notices from the bylaw.

Public consultation for Phase 1 will consist of notifications, making the draft amendments available for comment, and a public hearing scheduled for November 25.

The update is part of the County’s Plan Your County project to improve the development process, create appropriate development opportunities, and ensure the County is growing in a way that aligns with resident’s vision.
